MOVING....again....

Well, I've moved my blog yet again. I realized that, while wanting to maintain my blog, my website had also been neglected for the past five years. So, I've combined forces...my website is now my blog...and now both can be updated.

celebrating the 28th trip 'round the sun

Capped off a great birthday with a venture to Granite City Food & Brewery. Cool atmosphere, GREAT food and a few Growler refills! Thanks to my lovely wife who made it a special day...as well as the friends that joined us!

iPad

My reaction to Apple's sparkly new iPad?

I think it's a glorified iPod/iPhone. It does everything an iPod Touch does, removes the phone capabilities of the iPhone but adds the basics of a laptop with no camera. If a laptop requires a backpack or briefcase for travel, and an iPhone requires a pocket, the iPad needs a purse.....or..."man bag".

Realistically, it's Apple's answer to the NetBook movement as well as Amazon's Kindle 2. They just vamped it up a bit to do anything everyone else is doing...and do it better (looking).

At the same time, you can't strap it to your arm and go for a jog.

But it certainly keeps us cascading toward a Star Trek era.

Overall, not too exciting...and I don't plan on owning one.

I'd rather pair my MacBook Pro with an iPhone.

PV Christmas Star/Cross UNPLUGGED

The star from Christmas...

...simply built with steel framing and Christmas lights zip-tied to the steel.

Not exactly the Times Square New Year's ball, but it worked.
